Video: The Snowbirds' eye view of Vancouver

The POV video clip shows what the Snowbirds saw when they flew around Vancouver before the Celebration of Light on July 19, 2025.

A video shared by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds shows an amazing and unique view of Vancouver.

It's the view from inside the cockpit.

The video, shot by technician Cpl R. De Ocampo, who was in the passenger seat for the July 19, 2025, performance before the Celebration of Light, shows the view from inside the demonstration team's formation as they fly from somewhere east of Science World to Stanley Park in a big curve.

During the flight, they pass over Mount Pleasant, False Creek, and English Bay, where the crowds gathered for the show can be seen.

As they approach English Bay beach, they get fairly low.

"Between the mountains, the skyline, and the incredible energy of the beach crowds, Vancouver is a stunning venue to fly over," reads a statement from the Snowbirds to V.I.A.

"We love connecting with Canadians wherever we go but we are excited to fly in Vancouver. We hope to give fans a memorable performance again on Wednesday and we’ll be looking down for those waves from the fans on the beach as we fly by!”

If nothing else, this clip shows how easy the commute from Main Street to Stanley Park could be if you had a jet. The entire clip is less than a minute.

The Snowbirds fly a CT-114 Tutor; the small jet planes can fly up to 763 km/h.

The squadron will fly over Vancouver again this week, as part of the July 23 Celebration of Light performance. They'll be in the sky around 6:30 p.m.
