Woman's laptop 'ripped out of her hand' during near hit with cyclist in Vancouver

Vancouver police are investigating the theft.

The Vancouver Police Department is investigating after a woman had her laptop stolen after a near hit with a cyclist along Richards Street in Vancouver on July 18, 2023.

A woman had her laptop stolen after being nearly hit by a cyclist in Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department (VPD). 

The incident happened around 8 a.m. on Tuesday (July 18) near Richards and Nelson streets, VPD tells V.I.A.

"As she stumbled to avoid contact, her laptop was ripped out of her hand from behind by a [second] suspect, who then ran off," shares VPD on Twitter

The suspects have not been identified and the laptop was not recovered. The VPD is currently investigating the incident.
