Photos: Beautiful private island for sale on B.C.'s Pacific coast cuts price

At more than $14.7 million, it's still pretty expensive...

A private island on B.C.'s Pacific coast is still on sale after a couple of years on the market, but now its price has been cut a bit.

Turnagain Island is on the market for $14.75 million, which is a bit lower than its previous price of $15 million when it was listed in 2023.

The private island is located just offshore from Secret Cove, a small community just north of Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast. For more than 60 years, one family has owned Turnagain, but the 93-acre island is on the real estate market now.

Turnagain has not one, but two four-bedroom houses, both on the eastern coast not far from Secret Cove.

Most of the rest of the island is covered by dense forest with pathways and single-track roads to explore. The west coast looks out over the Salish Sea towards Texada Island with open sky.

More development could happen on the island, which has municipal water and a submarine power cable for electricity.

The sale also includes a second property on the mainland for parking.
