Metro Vancouver floating home selling for just $225,000

Less than quarter of a million for a detached home in Metro Vancouver?

A tiny home is selling in Metro Vancouver for just $225,000.

The catch is it's not on land.

The floating home is on the Fraser River in the Port Guichon neighbourhood of Ladner, in the city of Delta.

At just 511 square feet, there's not a huge amount of living space in the one-bedroom, one-bathroom house. Downstairs is a living space with a kitchen and laundry area.

Upstairs is a simple bedroom with a rooftop patio.

Nicknamed Bob's Place, the simple residence is currently decorated for a fisherman, with plenty of angler art.

While property taxes shouldn't be a big issue, owning this property means paying moorage fees. They'll run the new owner about $1,000 per month, but the listing notes the seller is willing to pay for a year of fees.
