Located in the warehouse district at 1324 Franklin Street in Vancouver, sits a whimsical world of antiques, vintage gems, and gorgeous independently made furniture. You may have seen these products featured in blockbuster movies and TV shows like Flash, Deadpool 2, or Arrow, but seeing the collection in person is an experience like no other, especially if you love unique items (and shop owners) that come with a story.

Antique Market offers 20,000 square feet of one-of-a-kind finds, including unique industrial furniture, lighting, reproductions, and collectibles personally sourced from around the world. For over 30 years, owner Harry Stryer, has traveled to new countries every month, hand selecting unique finds to bring back and sell from his iconic space in Vancouver’s East Village. On average Harry imports 40 ocean freight containers full of goods, every year!

Every year, Harry’s hosts an annual birthday sale, inviting longtime customers and the antique-curious to come check out this selection of international finds. To celebrate his 68th year, this year’s sale features markdowns of up to 68% off.

With a keen eye, Harry Stryer has been carefully and curiously sourcing products from the markets of India, China, Vietnam, Egypt, Thailand and Indonesia for decades. This has resulted in the store’s long standing reputation for having one of the province’s most singular and outstanding vintage collections, which was originally showcased from their Main St. storefront. Styles carried include Vintage, Industrial & Steampunk, Indian, and Chinese Antiques with a huge selection of French Empire Chandeliers, and Egyptian Wrought Iron.

In spite of their name, Antique Market is much more than a standard antique store.Harry is always keeping an eye on upcoming trends and personally sources new furniture from suppliers who use reclaimed and salvage woods such as elm, pine, mango, acacia, and teak or timber harvested from managed forests.

On top of being a major destination for the local TV & Film Industry and even supplying local businesses like Vij’s, The Diamond, local breweries and distilleries, and major retailers like Lush Cosmetics, Antique Market offers those with a passion for furniture, architecture and the thrill of the hunt the ultimate place to shop, discover and explore.
