Introducing Bud Light Mango!

Summer is well underway and things are finally feeling more normal than they have all year, so break out the beachwear and drop a line in the group chat -- it’s time for a BBQ!

This summer we’re opting for grilling in the great outdoors rather than staying home. Besides, we’ve all probably had enough of that in the last year-and-half anyway.

Since we’re headed outside, we thought it would be the perfect time to review what to pack to help ensure your next summer BBQ is AWESOME.

Here are some summer greats.

THE RIGHT TYPE OF GRILL

The City of Vancouver has a few regulations when it comes to BBQing outdoors. Our recommendation is to reserve a spot at one of Vancouver’s public BBQs online and be sure to check out any guidelines that might be in place at public parks.

CHARCOAL, WOOD, GAS AND FIRE STARTER LIQUID

Plan well in advance to ensure you’ve got all the right tools to use public BBQ’s. You don’t want to be rubbing two sticks together.

SOMETHING FROM A BUTCHER

Vancouver is home to countless specialty stores and butchers that can hook you up with fabulous, locally-sourced organic meat. However, if you follow a more plant-based lifestyle, you can also find more than one vegan butcher.

NEXT LEVEL CONDIMENTS

Yeah, yeah, yeah, ketchup and mustard are great, but be creative, and remember to pack some next level burger and hot dog toppers too. A ton of Vancouver restaurants now sell takeaway versions of their in-house condiments, so take a peek at your favourite restaurant’s online menu and see what you can bring with you to the beach!

A GARBAGE BAG AND FOOD WASTE BAG

Most of Vancouver’s beaches have designated garbage, recycling and food waste bins, so do your part and clean-up your site the right way.

SCISSORS OR AN EXTRA KNIFE

Those hot dog packages can be hard to open and you don’t want to be stuck spreading sauce with your finger!

SUNSCREEN, BUG SPRAY, EXTRA TOWELS AND WATER GALORE

All the things you need to stay comfortable and stay safe.
