If you’re looking to “wine” down with an outstanding local getaway this fall, look no further than the South Okanagan.

With nearly 70 wineries located between the Oliver-Osoyoos and Similkameen Wine regions, Osoyoos is an absolute haven for wine lovers. During the fall harvest time, the vineyards are amplified by the colours, sights, and scents of autumn, making for the most delightful tasting experiences throughout the vast territory of Osoyoos Wine Country.

Osoyoos sips include a variety of diverse Okanagan-based wine producers from across the valley — each with its own unique story, character, and specialities that are just waiting to be discovered!

Bartier Bros. Vineyard & Winery was born out of a brotherly partnership which has produced refreshing, expressive wines such as the Granite 2018 orange wine and the full-bodied and exclusive Grenache Syrah Mourvedre 2019. Breaking from tradition, the family-owned Moon Curser Vineyards is dedicated to making premium wines from old-world grape varieties, right on the East Bench of Osoyoos. Alternatively, at Church and State Wines’ 80+ acres estate in Oliver, every wine produced is grown in the Coyote Bowl vineyards and is thereby classified as 100% BC VQA wine.

Over on the West Bench, Tinhorn Creek Vineyards is primely positioned for the morning sunrises, which produces some of the Okanagan's best Gewürztraminer and Muscat, along with their flagship wine, The Creek. With some of the best terroir in Canada, Black Hills Estate Winery is centered in the middle of the Okanagan Valley desert, which provides ideal growing conditions for the Bordeaux and Rhone varietals they nurture. On top of the Golden Mile Bench, Culmina Winery draws its fine wines — including the 2014 Hypothesis blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc — from three adjoining vineyard benches.
