What’s your dream job? For some, it’s all about making people smile. For others, it means working with their hands, flexing their creative muscles or even saving lives.
As Steve Jobs famously said, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” But did you know what he said next? “If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”
Dream jobs don’t come looking for us. We go out and find them. Maybe you’re a high school student with a dozen careers to choose from, a working professional just craving something more or a newcomer hoping to find your place in the Canadian workforce. You’ve got some big decisions to make, but don’t let that stop you!
On April 22, get a head start on finding your dream job at Vancouver Community College’s (VCC) Info Night. This is your chance to talk to instructors and advisors from 120 programs in VCC’s hospitality, health sciences, transportation trades, design, music and business areas —many of which you can find on WorkBC’s top 60 list of hottest careers. Info Night participants can also tour VCC’s training kitchen or campus auto shop and attend a variety of seminars by industry-experienced faculty.
Already have a program in mind? Come register on-site and we’ll waive the $31 application fee.
Info Night will take place at the VCC Broadway campus on April 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. RSVP now to receive a VIP swag bag and be entered to win an iPad mini!
