The sky is blue, the sun is shining, and it’s time to get outside and get together with family and friends!

It’s finally June, which means that patio season is in full swing! We can look forward to dining and drinking at our neighbourhood patios, supporting our local restaurants and businesses while enjoying a safe and sunny summer while in good company.

The Vancouver BIAs that form the Vancouver BIA Partnership have come together to launch PATIO, a celebration of Vancouver’s permanent and temporary patios and plazas across the city.

For the ultimate convenience of all patio-goers, PATIO has compiled a Vancouver Patio Map containing a complete list of EVERY patio across all neighbourhoods in the Vancouver area, including:

  • Cambie Village, Downtown Vancouver, Dunbar Village, East Village, Gastown, Hastings Crossing, Kerrisdale, Kitsilano 4th Avenue, Kitsilano West Broadway, Mount Pleasant, Robson Street, South Granville, Strathcona, West End, and Yaletown

You can even sort by heated patios, pet-friendly patios, patios that are open in all weather conditions, and patios that are available by reservation. Within each patio entry description, PATIO has added in important details, such as whether the patio is permanent or temporary, is a curbside, terrace, or rooftop patio, has umbrella coverage, as well as a vibe check if you’re looking for patios that are quiet, or more lively.

With PATIO’s handy and detailed patio map, you can have access to Vancouver’s entire patio scene at your fingertips and on the go, so you’ll know exactly where the nearest patio or plaza is located when you’re exploring the city.

You can also find a printable version of the Vancouver Patio Map here

To celebrate the launch of PATIO, Vancouverites can vote for their favourite patios in the city by filling out a 10 question survey, or simply answer the daily questions found in @patiovancouver’s Instagram stories, from June 1st to June 30th. The most voted patio winners will be announced in July.

By voting, you will be entered for a chance to win daily prizes from @phillipsbeer, along with weekly prizes from 15 Vancouver neighbourhoods.

Here are the awesome PATIO categories to vote for:

  • Best PATIO for people watching
  • PATIO with the best view
  • Best PATIO to have cocktails on
  • Best hidden PATIO
  • Best PATIO for families
  • Best PATIO design
  • Best PATIO to dine with friends
