Oh no, where did summer go!?

Every year, without fail, the end of August just seems to sneak up and spook us out of our summertime daydreams. With only a few weeks of gorgeous weather remaining, it’s time to make the most of living in beautiful B.C. and find new outdoor destinations to have some F-U-N!

For over 35 years Cultus Lake Waterpark has been a go-to destination for B.C. families looking to soak up the summer sun (and make a splash in the process). With dozens of waterslides and attractions suited for young and old, plus free admission to the neighbouring Cultus Lake Adventure Park, Cultus Lake should definitely be a destination on your end of summer bucket list.

Originally opened in 1984, Cultus Lake Waterpark has remained a nostalgic summer getaway for generations of British Columbians. In addition to being home to the longest waterslide in Western Canada, Cultus also boasts 18 slides, 5 hot tubs, a lazy river and 6 food outlets.

This year, the back of each Cultus Lake Waterpark ticket also includes a $15 Unlimited Rides coupon for weekday rides at the neighbouring Adventure Park. Better yet, the park’s Giggle Ridge Adventure Golf Course is also included in the deal, making Cultus a quick and affordable day-trip for friends and families alike. This is also your opportunity to grab a limited edition 35 year anniversary souvenir cup at the waterpark, which comes with unlimited $1.50 refills at each of the park’s food outlets.

A favourite amongst summer thrill-seekers, Cultus Lake Adventure Park offers rides and attractions for adventure-seekers of all types, including Canada’s only fully inverted 360-pendulum ride and the Fraser Valley’s only rollercoaster. One of the truly underrated aspects of the Adventure Park is the classic amusement park boardwalk and ferris wheel, which transforms into a stunning display of flashing neon lights during evening riding hours, making for an incredible summertime experience (and Instagram photo, if that’s your thing).
