BC BuzZ: 2012 Vancouver International Film Festival

Well it’s that time of year again when the monolith that is the Vancouver International Film Festival shines again!  From September 27 to October 12 VIFF has planned for an outstanding 380+ films from over 75 countries, making it the most international film festival in N.America.  We are kicking it off tonight with the opening night film and gala which includes Deepa Mehta’s Midnight’s Children plus as always a festive evening of fun post-screening.  As always BC BuzZ will be reviewing some key Canadian films or more importantly our local flicks, plus giving you tips on what to see, where to go, and some behind the scenes shots of all the galas, parties, schmoozefests & more!  But till then, we start it all off chatting with film fest director Alan Franey and local filmmakers Bruce Sweeney (Crimes of Mike Recket) and Nimisha Mukerji (Blood Relative) which both have films in this year’s festival.
