Is Scotland calling your name? Perhaps you need a bit of the Luck of the Irish, or simply want to marvel at the Eiffel Tower in person.
Right now, you can find flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to some of Europe's top cities for a steal, with one-way tickets costing under $300.
Edinburgh, Dublin, and Paris are the three cheapest options for folks looking to fly to Europe from YVR in October 2025, although tickets under $300 include a couple of stops. Itineraries with one stop cost slightly more, while direct flights may cost hundreds more.
Edinburgh, Scotland
If you're a Harry Potter fan, Edinburgh served as a major inspiration for the popular franchise. It isn't hard to see why. With quaint, cobblestone streets, winding through breathtaking architecture and stunning natural vistas, it's an intrinsically whimsical place. In other words, the magic awaits you.
The prices for flights to the Scottish capital are not part of the fantasy, but remain lower than trips to most other European cities. A flight departing Vancouver on Wednesday, Oct. 1, makes a stop in Kelowna for just over 90 minutes before stopping in Calgary for an hour before reaching Edinburgh Airport (EDI). The ticket costs $292 through Booking.com or even less, $276, when booked through FlightHub (see slide two).
This price is considered low for economy or $87 cheaper than usual, according to Google Flights.
Travellers looking to make only one stop on their way to Scotland can find a WestJet flight on the same day that has one stopover for an hour and 15 minutes in Calgary and costs $313.
Folks looking to fly to Edinburgh may want to fly home from London or another European city, as they may find cheaper return flights. Return trips to the Scottish city start at just over $800 in the fall.
Dublin, Ireland
Dublin is a vibrant, walkable city full of history, culture, and charm. See Dublin Castle, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and Phoenix Park, one of Europe’s largest city parks—home to the Dublin Zoo and a wild deer herd. Drink Guinness right from its homeland, and explore the Temple Bar District, which is a lively (if touristy) area full of pubs, music, and street art.
A WestJet flight departing Vancouver on Thursday, Oct. 16, makes stops in Kelowna and Calgary for just over an hour-and-a-half each before reaching Dublin (DUB). The ticket costs $292 through Booking.com or even less, $276, when booked through FlightHub (see slide three).
This price is considered low for economy or $67 cheaper than usual, according to Google Flights.

Paris, France
The French capital is home to landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Notre Dame, and the Champs-Élysées.
