Deal alert: You can fly from Vancouver to Paris for $394

Some of the travel dates will also get you to Paris in time for the Summer Olympics.

Travellers looking to fly from Vancouver to Paris can score cheap flights at the peak of the summer travel season. 

One-way flights from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in Paris, France start for under $400 on select dates in July. Additionally, multiple dates throughout the summer and into the fall offer one-way flights for under $450. 

For example, a flight that departs Vancouver on July 20 and makes one stop in Calgary costs $394 including tax booked through third-party provider Kiwi.com. Tickets need to be booked separately - one from Vancouver to Calgary and another from Calgary to Paris - to nab the low-cost ticket. Tickets can also be booked directly through the airline for $458 (see slide two).

According to Google Flights, this price is about $287 cheaper than usual.

These dates will also get travellers in Paris in time for the Summer Olympics, which commence on July 26. 

Round-trip Vancouver to Paris flight

Locals looking to have an Emily in Paris moment can also find round-trip flights from Vancouver for under $800 starting in September.

For instance, a flight departing YVR on Sept.10 that returns from CDG on Sept. 17 costs $728 through third-party suppliers Airpaz and BudgetAir. Larger third-party options, such as Booking.com, cost only slightly more, at $767. Tickets booked directly with WestJet cost significantly more, at $949 (see slide three).

According to Google Flights, this price is $919 cheaper than usual.
