You can take a shuttle from Metro Vancouver to Abbotsford Airport for only $17

For those who are looking to save, but don't want to spend big bucks on a cab or leaving their car at the airport, there is an alternative: Reliable Bus.

Swoop, WestJet's discount carrier, offers a plethora of deals across North America that cost a fraction of what travellers pay with other airlines.

The carrier only flies out of Abbotsford in the Lower Mainland, however, and therefore Vancouverites have to make a trip into the Fraser Valley in order to catch their flights. As a result, many locals skip the low-cost option because they don't want to spend the extra time or money getting to the airport.

For those who are looking to save, but don't want to spend big bucks on a cab or leaving their car at the airport, there is an alternative: Reliable Bus. This shuttle bus service takes travellers from the Scott Road Station in Surrey to Abbotsford International Airport for only $17 when purchased online in advance. And, if you forget to pay in advance, the tickets are only $22 on board.

The total travel time from Scott Road Station to the Abbotsford airport is 40 minutes, while the total travel time from downtown Vancouver ( with shuttle and transit) to the Abbotsford airport is an hour and 15 min.

The transfer company also offers private transfers to a number of places throughout the province.

While the low-cost carrier is an extremely affordable alternative, it is worthwhile to note that there are a number of additional costs. For one, luggage will cost extra, as will selecting your own seat or even speaking to an operator. As such, it is worthwhile to factor in what you need to bring, or if you want to sit in a particular spot.
