Super, Neighbours in British Columbia: Rockwater Secret Cove Resort 5 of 5 - Spa Without Walls

Rockwater Secret Cove Resort on the Sunshine Coast is the destination in this latest series of posts and so far I've shown you the romantic, Hemingway-esque TENTHOUSE SUITE that we stayed in, shared our FOOD experiences as well as the TRIP OVER THERE.

In this final post I'd like to take you into Rockwater's Spa Without Walls, where my wife and I were treated to an incredible couples massage. I'm no expert on massage but as a member of the Polaris Music Prize Jury as well as the Peak Performance Project jury I am somewhat of a music connoisseur and I have to say that I did not miss the soundtrack that you, as someone who may have received massage therapy, may have grown accustomed to hearing while laying on those sweet tables with your face buried in a donut pillow.

Often times that soundtrack you hear at the spa is a recorded CD meant to mimic the soothing sounds of the ocean, or a gentle breeze with muted flutes and gentle harp melodies. The Spa Without Walls has no use for that rubbish, in fact I'm not sure they even have a CD player in it, because...

THE ONLY SOUNDS YOU HEAR ARE THOSE OF THE OCEAN AND THE ACTUAL GENTLE BREEZE AND THE BIRDS AND THE SOUNDS OF THE OUTDOORS!!! Here's a look out the front flaps...

Yes, the Spa Without Walls lives up to it's name. In the winter months they close up the canvas walls of the tent the spa is in and you still get those soothing sounds, in the summer they open it right up and you feel the breeze.

Whatever season you go in, this view awaits you as you exit your massage, super relaxed and rejuvenated and ready to take on... life in the tenthouse!
