WestJet's discount carrier, Swoop, invites fliers to ring in the Chinese New Year and save big bucks with their Year of the Pig sale.
The sale offers a plethora of fantastic deals across the country, but a couple of them are particularly sweet for residents of the Lower Mainland.
Specifically, the Abbotsford to Hamilton deal offers a huge savings for locals who want to visit family or vacation back east. Not only are the flights direct, but they are markedly cheaper than those offered by competitors.
For example, the flight below, which departs on Wednesday, March 27, offers a one-way fare to Hamilton for only $119 CAD including all taxes and fees.

Similarly, the flight below, which departs Abbotsford on Saturday, April 27 and returns from Hamilton on Saturday, May 4, offers a return fare for only $231.58 CAD including taxes and fees.

Of course, not all residents of the Lower Mainland are able to travel out of Abbotsford. Furthermore, some people prefer to land in Toronto rather than commuting from Hamilton. With that in mind, travellers who are looking to score the lowest fare possible will find that this ticket is literally hundreds less than other airlines offering flights between the two cities.
Swoop also offers cheap one-way tickets to Las Vegas from Abbotsford for as little as $68 CAD including tax during their sale, which ends Thursday, February 7.
Note: While the low-cost carrier is an extremely affordable alternative, it is worthwhile to note that there are a number of additional costs. For one, luggage will cost extra, as will selecting your own seat or even speaking to an operator. As such, it is worthwhile to factor in what you need to bring, or if you want to sit in a particular spot.
