For the past two years, Kathleen has organized one of my favourite events called The East Van Opry at The Rio Theatre. She has brought together some of the best folk/country players in the area and curated one of the most excellent nights of music I've seen. This year's East Van Opry features another fantastic lineup and will be held this Saturday October 22 at The Rio Theatre. Be sure to check it out! When she's not collaborating on musical ventures, Kathleen also gives back to children who cannot afford music lessons as an instructor at the St. James Music Academy after school music program.
