Vancouverties have been stepping outside each night to cheer for health care workers and first responders from their balconies, backyards, and doorsteps. Three friends have even launched a website where people can share thank yous to essential workers or encouraging personal experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, locals can share their love for front line workers wherever they go by donning a chic, charity t-shirt. One of the shirts reads, "Support Frontliners" and there is a heart in the "o" of the word "frontlines." Another graphic tee reads 7:00 p.m. over a map of Vancouver, which celebrates the beautiful show of gratitude in the daily across the city.

The t-shirts also benefit hospital foundations, including: the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation, Vancouver General Hospital Foundation, BC Children's Hospital Foundation and St. Paul's Foundation.

Each t-shirt from the #wearyoursupport collection costs $35 and 100% of the money goes to the hospital of your choice. In fact, MYCITY apparel has partnered directly with the hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company has also have teamed up with the Vancouver Food Bank by creating an adorable Heart Pocket Tee. 100% of the net proceeds will go directly to help support the Food Bank during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company's slogan is “Give Where You Live” and they state that they, "really want to make an impact as we grow."

Vancouver Is Awesome also uses the same local company, True North Screenprinting Ltd., to print clothing and other products for our line, BC is Awesome

A Vancouverite has also created a massive chalk mural to send gratitude to essential workers. Included in the colourful roundup is a doctor, a grocery store clerk, a police officer, a post officer, and a nurse.

Posted on Reddit by yu/allimum on April, the cheerful image has been up-voted 239 times. A few comments note that the offering is 'cute' and made them 'smile,' while others mention that the artist is rather talented.

While TransLink has implemented a number of changes to protect its employees as well as the public at large, transit operators and attendants put themselves at risk to provide vital transportation to people across the Lower Mainland. Have a look at the experiences of three front line transit workers HERE.

In order to celebrate everyone on the front lines, TransLink has played an announcement on its Expo, Millennium and Canada Line trains at 7 p.m. sharp. The announcement played for the first time on March 27.
