The Vancouver weather forecast includes the chance for snow today, albeit wet snow--and the rest of the week is looking decidedly wet, too.

On Thursday, Feb. 18, Environment Canada calls for rain at times mixed with snow in the morning and a high of 5°C during the day. Rain at times mixed with snow is expected later this evening and temperatures are expected to dip down to 3°C overnight.

On Friday, the forecast is calling for periods of rain and a high of 6°C during the day. At night, the forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers. Saturday is expected to see periods of rain during the day and rain overnight. Sunday will also see rain throughout the day and night.

Starting next week, Monday's forecast calls for rain during the day, but the evening is calling for a 60 per cent chance of showers.

Tuesday, however, is expected to be the lone dry day of the week, with the forecast calling for a mix of sun and cloud during the day and cloudy periods at night.

While Vancouverites have enjoyed a relatively mild winter so far--except for last week's cold snap--Environment Canada cautions that we aren't out of the woods yet.

In a recent interview, Environment Canada Meteorologist Doug Lundquist told Vancouver Is Awesome that "It's halfway through winter--so we have another half to go through.

"And we can get snow--definitely in [...] February and sometimes March."

Lundquist stresses that snow events are far less likely heading into spring, but they can't be ruled out entirely. That said, he notes that the La Niña pattern is still affecting weather in the region, which could mean temperatures will dip a bit below average.
