Missing Vancouver woman last seen Feb. 7

The 61-year-old was reported missing on Monday after failing to show up for work

University of B.C. RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing Vancouver woman.

Sixty-one-year-old Monica Winter was reported missing on Monday after failing to show up for work.

Police immediately began a search and later confirmed that she was last seen on Friday, Feb. 7 leaving work in the 1200-block of West Broadway. Investigators have determined that her bank card was last used on Feb. 7 at a grocery store shortly after 5 p.m., and that her fob key was used in the parkade of her home at 6:20 p.m. Winter lives in the 5900-block of Gray Avenue on the University Endowment Lands.

Her dog, Chloe, is also missing.

On Monday, Burnaby RCMP found her car, a blue Toyota Corolla, near the Fraser River Foreshore Park on Tillicum Street and Fraser Park Drive.

“Winter’s family and police are concerned for her safety and well-being,” police said in a press release.

Winter is described as a Causasian, 5’5” tall and weighing 169 pounds.
