Surrey residents are being warned that a high-risk sex offender is now living in their city.

B.C. Corrections issued the public alert after it learned that 28 year old Jeffrey Goddard planned to call the city home. He was released from custody on Tuesday, October 2nd.

Goddard has an extensive criminal history that includes sexual assault, as well as invitation to sexual touching and luring under 16, and failure to comply with probation.

He has also impersonated a police officer and a firefighter, and he's even pretended to be a woman. As such, one of his court-ordered conditions forbids him from wearing or possessing any clothing, hats, or any insignia, patch of emblem that represents a business or company.

“Goddard has maintained a pattern of sexual-offending against male youth and adults and communicating via computer to lure male and female youth, in both an opportunistic and predatory manner,” states the B.C. Corrections release.

He is also forbidden from using social networking, or creating any sort of online account to do so.

He is described as Caucasian, 5’9? tall, weighing 170 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone who witnesses Goddard breaking any of the listed conditions is asked to contact local police.
