While the city saw soaring temperatures and bright sunshine over the weekend, this week's Vancouver forecast looks decidedly wet and stormy.

Starting on Monday, May 11, Environment Canada calls for sunshine and a high of 25°C during the day. However, the evening forecast calls for rain and a low of 13°C. Following this, Tuesday's forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of showers throughout the day. In addition, there is a risk of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

On Wednesday, the forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of showers through the day and into the evening. With this in mind, Thursday is expected to see a break from the rainfall, with the forecast calling for a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 18°C during the day. Friday is also expected to see a mix of sun cloud during the day with a high of 18°C.

While weekend highs are expected to reach 18°C, Saturday's forecast calls for rain and Sunday's forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of showers.
