The Vancouver weather forecast called for snowfall to continue through Thursday into Friday, but now it also calls for a risk of a thunderstorm, too.
Environment Canada calls for a 60 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries throughout the day on Thursday, March 7. However, it also calls for a, "Risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon."
In addition, the forecast notes that there may be local snowfall accumulations of up to 2 cm. Following this, the evening forecast calls for a 30 per cent chance of rain showers or wet flurries early with a low of minus two. Further, the forecast calls for winds of up to 15 km/hr that will produce a frigid minus four overnight.
Friday's forecast calls for a mix of sun and cloud, but no longer includes a chance of snowfall.
Saturday and Sunday are expected to be clear and sunny, with highs of seven and eight degrees respectively.

February 2019 was the coldest February on record in Metro Vancouver since the records began in 1937. Not only did the month see some frigid temperatures, but they also persisted throughout the month.
Although February saw the coldest temperatures to date, it also saw some of the greatest amounts of snowfall. In fact, 31.2 cm of snowfall was recorded at YVR, making it the eighth snowiest February on record.
