Richmond's top 9 spots.....featuring Chris Haslam

Lots of times as soon as guys turn pro....they become just that...pros. Pros don't live where they grew up...they live in California or at least downtown. They're nice to kids at the park but in a 'hey buy my board kind of way'.

Lots of times as soon as guys turn pro....they become just that...pros.  Pros don't live where they grew up...they live in California or at least downtown.  They're nice to kids at the park but in a 'hey buy my board kind of way'.  Haslam's nothing like that, although he travels alot, everything else is pretty much the same.   He owns a house in Richmond, still skates the Richmond park with his homies and I think, he still takes transit...that's keeping it real.

I asked Chris to share some of Richmond's finer points in the form of a top 9.  Ten would be boastful....

9. The dykes

8. Canada's First Mc Donalds

7. Silvercity Complex

6. Steveston Village

5. The Night Market

4. Home Depot Harveys

3. Super close to the Airport

2. Kobra Triangle *

1. The Richmond Skatepark

* note: not a spot but Chris's band...still Richmond based.
