Fantastic news for the Vancouver skyline: the innovative Bjarke Ingels designed tower at Beach and Howe (right off the Granville bridge on the downtown side) is now officially a go!
If you've been reading for a while you'll know that I've been fanning out on this Danish architect since he delivered THIS AMAZING LECTURE at the Chan Centre where he talked about his past work and then specifically this project that Westbank brought him in to design for them. Westbank are the good folks behind the iconic Woodward's, the Fairmont Pacific Rim, the Shangri-La, TELUS Garden and others.
High five, Bjarke! Thanks for doing your part in making our city that much more awesome.
