Grouse Mountain is set to host its popular 24 Hours of Winter event this month on its slopes.

The annual 'sunrise to sundown' event offers a range of alpine activities as well as a few unique offerings for attendees. In addition to downhill skiing and snowboarding, guests will also be able to try their hand on the 'banked slalom' course and win prizes. The event takes place on Saturday from 10:30 am until 4 pm.

Attendees may also take a Snow Cave and Fondue Tour on Saturday. There are three time slots, and the tour begins with an easy 2 km snowshoe tour through a snow covered forest trail and our stunning Light Walk. Following this, it continues to a lookout of Vancouver before returning to a snow cave with chocolate fondue and hot apple cider. There will also be Live Snow Sculptors on both Saturday and Sunday.

Guests should also be on the look out for the Red Bull Wings Team, as they will be roaming the mountaintop with wings to hand out.

Night Owl Ranger Talks also take place on Saturday at 6 pm and 8 pm where guests can meet Cleo, the mountain's resident Barn Owl, and hear all about her amazing skills.

There will also be a Granville Island Brewing SkyDeck Party on Saturday from 7 pm to 10 pm where guests can check out the ice bar and unwind on the Altitudes SkyDeck with a drink. Enthusiastic skiers will carve their way down the slopes at 9 pm, and there will be Red Bull sampling and entertainment to follow at Altitudes Bistro from 10 pm to 3 am.

Grouse will have a complimentary Midnight Snowshoe Tour on Sunday from midnight for an hour. Likewise, it will offer a complimentary Sunrise Snowshoe Tour from 6:30 am for an hour.

The Sliding Zone will also be available both days from noon until 8 pm, and the Theatre in the Sky will be available from 9:30 am until 9:30 pm on both days.

There are also numerous ziplining tours leaving at various times on both days. However, these tours must be booked through guest services and additional charges will apply.

The mountain will also offer a convenient, complimentary shuttle from 12 am to 7 am on Sunday between Grouse Mountain and key North Vancouver locations.
