Strawberries, baby goats, yoga, wine, and delicious food – is there a better way to ring in the start of summer?
The culmination of the Strawberry Full Moon on June 20 and the Summer Solstice and International Yoga Day on June 21, brings a spirituality and energy that Abbotsford’s Maan Farms is honouring.
On June 22, Maan Farms will combine their adorable goat yoga classes and strawberry u-pick offering for one large-scale event. What’s more, they have already applied to the Guinness Book of World Records in an attempt to make this the World’s Largest Goat Yoga Class. Hosted in farm fields under the summer sky, everyone is invited to celebrate with them.
“The Strawberry Full Moon was once used as a signal for the beginning of strawberry harvest by an ancient tribe. This event combines wellness and agriculture as our guests will be led through a goat yoga class, focused on grounding and harnessing the energy of the full moon, complemented by a walk to the strawberry fields. As a health and wellness practitioner, I feel honoured to be combining agriculture and wellness in this offering on my farm. It’s a beautiful and refreshing way to cultivate joy, connect with nature, and practice mindfulness,” says Gurleen Maan, Operations Manager.
Maan Farms advises that guests wear comfortable, flexible, and supportive yoga clothing. In addition, they also request guests wear red or white.
Each participant will get to u-pick a pint sized basket of strawberries from the fields to celebrate harvest season.
