Does this seal pup remind you of supermodel Chrissy Teigen?

Meet Fishy Teigen.

Fishy is one of the newest rescue seal pups being cared for by the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Centre, and was named as a playful nod to supermodel and social media star Chrissy Teigen.

The thing about this sweet little patient is that this is one seal pup who might not be considered conventionally cute – although to be fair, seal pups are straight up cute by default.

The Vancouver Aquarium took to Twitter Monday to try to nab the real Teigen’s attention, adding in a bit of a mea culpa:

“Good morning @chrissyteigen! We’ve named our newest rescue centre pup patient “Fishy Teigen” in your honour. Please don’t hate us, it is meant to be a tribute (however poorly executed).”

The Aquarium names their rescues on a different theme each year, like gemstones, B.C. geography, or this year’s celebri-puns. That’s how they ended up with a Meghan Mackerel, a Swim Shady, and a Seal-ine Dion, and now a Fishy Teigen.

So far, Teigen hasn’t responded to the Aquarium on Twitter about the honour, though many fans seem to think she’d be pretty cool with the tribute.
