Mesmerizing video shows hundreds of snow geese filling the skies above Metro Vancouver gathering spot

Migrating snow geese arrive annually in Delta from Wrangel Island in Russia. One fan captured footage of them taking to the skies during a stunning sunset.

The snow geese have arrived once again in South Delta.

That’s clearly illustrated in a video shot locally and shared on social media on the weekend. Neil Davies shared his YouTube video of a huge number of snow geese to the Tsawwassen Loop Facebook group Sunday evening.

“This was taken this evening here in Tsawwassen, just a fantastic sight,” Davies wrote in the post.

"This sunset video was taken on Sunday at Southlands where they seem to have taken up residence this year," Davies told the Optimist in a Facebook message. "Seeing them in the glow of the sunset right beside the road and flying overhead was spectacular."

Davies added that one of the reasons he enjoys living in Tsawwassen is seeing the various bird life.
