Victoria Police Chief Del Manak says two local officers intervened in a sexual assault while on vacation in Hawaii.
He said via Twitter that the officers had gone for a run in a park in Kona when they heard a woman screaming, and rushed to help. A suspect has been charged with sexual assault and kidnapping.
Manak reacted by tweeting “#proudchief” and “#servicebeforeself.”
