Notable vacancies could change the face of Vancouver hotspot

Work to turn a tiny triangle of land in Fairview into a community park has been delayed by several months. Initially the park board said work on the park, located at the corner of West Sixth and Fir Street, would be completed some time this spring.

The park board is celebrating Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, with some creative offerings, which is why the water in the pool at the Hillcrest Aquatic Centre will be coloured hot pink Friday starting at 4 p.m.
