Soon enough, downtown Vancouver will again be overrun with horrible, gore-soaked zombies lurching and moaning past a storefront near you!
Yes. The annual Vancouver Zombiewalk! is happening this Saturday (Sept. 6).
As usual, hordes of zombie wannabes will faux-terrorize the downtown core while onlookers revel and point out the impressive roster of zombies on display. Past highlights have included doctor zombie, David Bowie zombie, proctologist zombie, and the ever-dependable sexxxy zombie.
Zombiewalk 2014 begins at 3pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery. Zombies will then shuffle down Robson toward Denman. It will then proceed toward English Bay, where it will end at roughly 6pm, after which the zombies will disperse to continue their reign of terror in smaller groups.
The 2014 edition has been pushed back three weeks – from the height of tourist season – due to the increased amount of pedestrian traffic the Zombie Walk has attracted over the last few years.
A Zombiewalk after party, House of 1000 Zombies, will happen at Club 23 West, starting at 9pm. Entry is free for zombies and volunteers before 10pm. Afterward, entry is $10 for zombies and $12 for everyone else.
