October 3 marked the anniversary of the unification (or re-unification) of the separate countries of East and West Germany. This Oct. 30 marks the anniversary of the most recent attempt by the Parti Québecois to secede from Canada by referendum.

As many of you know, CBC lost the rights to its original Hockey Night in Canada theme in 2008 after failing to pony up the necessary costs to secure the stirring, brass-friendly tune.

It’s going over so beautifully in Quebec, we should try something similar here. It’s time to talk about a B.C. Charter of Values.
