To the Editor, Re: "Waldorf supporters submit 72-page report to city hall," Feb. 5 online. It is with a wry sense of humour that I have read the media-led metamorphosis of what was a rather sleazy hotel in the 50s named the Waldorf.

He had been eight years upon a project for extracting sunbeams out of cucumbers, which were to be put in phials hermetically sealed, and let out to warm the air in raw inclement summers.

The confirmation last week that the skeletal remains underneath a parking lot are indeed those of King Richard III - identified thanks to mitochondrial DNA from his Canadian great-great-great-etc.

The first-term B.C. Liberals were mad keen about electoral and parliamentary reform. They brought in budget-transparency legislation that lessened the likelihood of monkey business.
