To the editor: Re: "Online fundraising campaign benefits disease-stricken family," Aug. 24. Online thank you is thoughtful, handshake is gracious, phone call is nice, hug is good, handwritten note is welcome, coffee is friendly.

Premier Christy Clark is re-structuring her cabinet, but a more pressing challenge for her is finding enough credible candidates to carry her partys tarnished banner in the next election. And shes not the only leader facing this daunting task. B.C.

To the editor: Re: "Odour from Richmond compost company wafting into city," Aug. 15. Proposed fines for odour-producing companies are a licence for rich companies to pollute with impunity.

To the editor: It is a fact that there is always a shortage of senior housing. It is also hard for seniors to be placed in nursing homes. But there are many new houses being built around the Lower Mainland everyday.
