Every day we share a single photo from our Flickr Pool shot by one of our faithful and talented readers (that’s you!).
Spring is indeed in the air. After posting a Clayton Perry photo of a young family of Canadian Geese yesterday, I made a note to walk by the protected area near my home to see if there were goslings there, and sure enough I spotted a family of two adults and seven little ones. One adult goose was tracking my movements so I gave them a lot of space - they are known for fiercely protecting their young and I can certainly respect that.
More urban nature for today's post, as I learned something about rabbits. While rabbits have a reputation for their, ahem, multiplication skills, I was surprised to learn about some of their defense tactics. Not only do they have incredible peripheral vision, and are equipped with sharp teeth and powerful hind legs, but they also display great intelligence, preferring the safety that only a Volvo™ can provide.
