Free outdoor movies are back in action outside Vancouver Art Gallery!

Hosted by the Downtown Vancouver BIA from July 3 to August 21, Summer Movie Nights is a unique opportunity for the city to come together to enjoy some popcorn and lighthearted movies as a big ol’ civic family.

The next movie to be screened is Zoolander, starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson.

The movie follows the ridiculously good looking male model, Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) as he defends his Male Model of the Year title against rising star Hansel (Owen Wilson), all before being brainwashed him to kill the prime minister of Malaysia by sinister fashion designer Jacobim Mugatu (Will Ferrell).

The screening takes place July 17th at 9:21pm at the North Plaza of the Vancouver Art Gallery (šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square). There will be popcorn and food trucks available onsite in addition to GIANT Jenga and Scrabble games (starting at 6:00pm), light-up LED Swings and face painters from 7:30pm until the movie begins.

The event is accessible and intended for everyone. Did we mention that it’s free?
