Ken Pattern’s print titled Weekend Special, from the 1985 Vancity calendar
Here we have my favourite print from Ken's "Vancouver Patterns Suite" featuring skiing atop the Hotel Vancouver # 3. I love it! This was the final print in a series of 12 images taking a rather tongue in cheek at the city way back in the mid-1980s. The series was printed in a Vancity Calendar for 1985, and when I met Ken earlier this year on Granville Island, he graciously provided me a copy of the calendar for posterity!
I've featured another one of his prints from the series earlier this month on my site, and just because this series is super fun, I may include one more in the future! Stay tuned, and happy holidays to all the skiers out there!!
