Italian Day on The Drive, the day-long celebration of Vancouver's Italian community, culture, and heritage, will once again take over one of the city's most vibrant neighbourhoods this June.

On June 10, Commercial Drive from Venables Street to Grandview Cut will be closed to traffic and transformed into a 14-block Italian piazza, come alive with people, booths, food, vendors, live entertainment, and plenty of music.

"Musica" is the theme for Italian Day on The Drive 2018, which means the popular event will be infused with Italian music, showcasing local and national artists from Italy. Everything from classical and opera to jazz, Canzona Napoletana (Neopolitan Song), and regional folk music will be represented.

The "festa" is "the largest one day cultural street festival in Vancouver," according to organizers. That means you'll find plenty to see, do, hear, and taste--for the whole family.

With the streets closed to traffic, plan on getting there by foot, by transit, or by bike.
