The LACE campaign is a grassroots women's health movement dedicated to empowering the XX to take control over their health and their bodies by encouraging regular pap smears. (Because part of loving yourself is loving your lady. And that's the truth, Ruth.)
When it comes to loving yourself and your lady, a pap smear definitely comes first but it is followed very closely by winning a Serious Swag Bag. (And yeah, the contest is open to menfolk. Because menfolk love ladies, too.)

Tonight at the Projecting Change Film Festival our It's What's Inside PSA and 3-minute Live Aware, Create Empowerment mini-doc starring the Vancouver LACE Action Team will screen alongside Chemerical: Redefinining Clean for A New Generation.
The screening starts at 7:00 pm and you can get $2 off the ticket when you mention Hello Cool World as a festival supporter.
After that, head to our official afterparty at the W2 Storyeum and Celebrate Community Media! Vancouver Co-op Radio CFR 107.2fm and W2 are celebrating our launch and three and a half decades of community media, along with our launch! The party begins at 9:00 ( so plenty of time to hustle down after our screening ) and admission is FREE. Dance to the sounds of DJ Atef and Lady Ra, enter to win door prizes and indulge in doughnuts from Honey Doughnuts.
