Missy Elliot launching star-studded new tour in Vancouver

Misdemeanor, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, and Timbaland are hitting the road
Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes and Ciara are preforming at Rogers Arena on July 4 along with special guest Timbaland.

Four of the biggest names in hip hop, pop, and R&B from the last three decades are coming to Vancouver this summer.

Leading the "Out of This World — The Missy Elliott Experience" tour is the eponymous rapper; it'll be the first time she's been the headliner. It's also her first major tour in 20 years.

“Listen, I didn't realize I never had my own tour,” Elliott tells the Associated Press. “The last real tour that I went on — like, consistent days — was with Beyoncé and Alicia (Keys).”

Elliott has a long list of hits to her name like "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It," and "Gossip Folks" (and with on others, like Ciara's hit "1,2 Step" and Busta Rhymes "How We Do It Over Here"). She's also in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a road named after her.

This time, she'll be touring with some big names, and friends.

Mega-producer Timbaland will be joining, along with the aforementioned Busta Rhymes and Ciara. All three have regularly worked with Elliott.

And it'll all be kicking off in Vancouver.

The tour is launching from Rogers Arena on July 4, with more than two dozen dates following across the U.S. and Canada.

Presale tickets are available to the general public on Friday, April 12.
