This three-day meat-focused event is all about bringing together people who love to get out and chow down on all kinds of ribs. Kicking off with a day of special pricing on Friday, July 19, the fest fills the weekend of July 20 and 21 with heaps of food, two beer gardens, live entertainment, and seating for 2,600 finger-licking rib fans.

A half-dozen "ribbers" from across North America will be slinging their eats at the fest, each boasting an array of BBQ and rib-related awards. You'll find Smoke & Bones, Prairie Smoke & Spice, Misty Mountain BBQ, Boss Hog's, Gator BBQ, and Grizzly BBQ at this year's RibFest, offering up everything from chicken and racks of ribs to beef brisket, pulled pork, combo platters and all the sides. You can plan your eating with the ribbers' menus here.

Not a rib fan? While you might think you'd need to steer clear of RibFest, they've also got some "alternative" dining options, including fresh corn on the cob and Very Good Butchers - a plant-based meat alternative vendor from Vancouver Island. Yep - vegan meat at RibFest!

The fest takes place in Rocky Point Park, which means you're also near permanent food vendors there like Pajo's Fish & Chips and Rocky Point Ice Cream.

Port Moody's RibFest is family-friendly, and admission to the grounds is totally free - you just need your money for food and drinks.

As approximately 50,000 visitors are expected over the three days of the event, those attending are encouraged to take public transit or consider walking to Rocky Point Park after parking their vehicle elsewhere.  Information on utilizing public transit in Port Moody can be found on Translink's website by clicking here.
