Richmond sunflower field opens to visitors

Photos can be taken within the nine acres of sunflowers at a local non-profit farm.

A nine-acre sunflower field is open for visitors in Richmond.

Sunflower season has arrived at a Richmond non-profit's farm.

Tzu Chi Foundation Canada is inviting the Richmond community to visit its nine-acre sunflower field from now until Aug. 10.

There are eight varieties of sunflowers for visitors to take photos of, as well as a miniature windmill in the field.

The non-profit organization is dedicated to delivering charitable humanitarian services and owns and operates the farm.

Admission is by donation, and visitors can drop in daily from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 9851 Finn Rd.

Visitors can purchase sunflowers as well, with funds to be donated to charitable organizations.
