The Cheaper Show #9 happens June 26th! In case you're unfamiliar, here's the deal: 200 artists. 400 pieces of art. $200 each.

To gear you up for it, in the coming days leading up to the show we're bringing you a virtual two four of artists who have work in The Cheaper Show #9.

Artist 7 is Jocelyn Shipley.

The Cheaper Show #9 happens June 26th! In case you're unfamiliar, here's the deal:

Jocelyn received her BFA at the University of Illinois-Chicago and her MFA at the California Institute of the Arts. She has exhibited her work in New York, California, Norway, New Mexico, England and Canada.

Shipley creates music, sculpture, and a variety of mediums which have been characterized as being “myth-inspired characters”. Her work challenges the viewer by replacing “…the abject with a hand-crafted optimism; a sweet approach to blood and lust.”.
