I had dinner at Caffe Barney with my friend Lisa last night, and there was a commotion at the table next to ours not long after we ordered. A man had just arrived to join his friends, and he carried with him a long, narrow box.
After he removed an Olympic torch from it, they all whipped out their cameras and passed it around. Lisa and I were watching and smiling, so they offered to take photos of us with the torch, too. It's exactly as heavy as I thought it might be.
