DownLow Burgers Pop-Up
It’s impossible to keep this a secret: The DownLow Chicken Shack has been morphing into a burger joint Monday nights since October 1. The menu currently consists of four core burgers, with weekly burger specials.

Enchanted Forest Afternoon Tea at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver has launched an Enchanted Forest tea. Tuck into the Private Dining Room of Notch8 Restaurant & Bar and enjoy an escape–and some beautiful eats–right from the pages of a charming folktale.
When: Now through November 18, 2018, with sittings Wednesdays – Sundays at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm

Disco Dumplings Happy Hour at Burdock & Co.
Disco Dumplings happy hour continues every Monday at 8 pm at this Main Street favourite. Throughout the evening, local DJs spin vinyls while an evolving menu showcases local beers and wines at a discounted price.

NOVEMBER EVENTS
Donnelly Toy Drive Goodwill Lager Fundraiser
Donnelly Group has teamed up with Red Truck Beer to brew the first-ever “Goodwill Lager” which will be released on November 1 and sold at all Donnelly Group establishments and the Truck Stop Diner at Red Truck Beer. Each Goodwill Lager sold will result in an additional $1 being donated to the Toy Drive over and above the average $100,000 given annually through Donnelly Group’s pubs and cocktail clubs in Vancouver and Toronto.

Fall Game and Mushroom Menu at Wildebeest
VIN VAN Pop-Up Wine Dinner - 'The Canadian One'
The dinner will focus on the wines of Canada paired with Canadian inspired dishes created by Vancouver chefs Michael Varga and Eugene Cheng. It is being held in an amazing warehouse space in Mount Pleasant which is fittingly destined to be a winery.

An Evening in Islay - Ardberg dinner at Hawksworth

Inspired by a recent trip to the remote island of Islay, Hawksworth's Bar Manager, Luke O’Toole, and Hawksworth’s Head Chef, Antonio Sotomayor, have crafted a diverse menu to pay homage to the amazing people and culture of Islay, as well as their incredible bounty of fresh and locally-sourced ingredients. While the menu and cocktails for the event will be kept under wraps until the evening to allow for seasonality and spontaneity, key ingredients are likely to include fresh shellfish and organic meats with wild foraged herbs and greens.

Winemaker's Longtable Dinner
Vancouver Tea Festival
Hosted by the Vancouver Tea Society, the Vancouver Tea Festival is just the spot for those who enjoy a spot of tea. This year’s fest promises a realm of exhibitors, including those offering tipsy tea spirits (for the 19+ set, of course), as well as a Chinese tea tasting bar and a matcha bar, and a retail area.
When: Saturday, November 3, from 10 am-5pm, and Sunday, November 4th, from 11 am-4 pm.

Sparkling Supper at Café Medina
EAT! Vancouver is a draw for food fans of all kinds, and at all budgets. From epic tasting events to intimate dinners, workshops, and more, EAT! has an array of options for anyone hungry for some fun.when it comes to everything from sausage-making to bourbon-sipping, and there are two big tasting events: The Harvest (featuring 24 chefs along with wineries and more) and EAT! Pastry (just for those of you with a sweet tooth). There’s even an entire night dedicated to cognac. All of the events are detailed and a full schedule is available online.
Caviar Festival at Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio
Dumpling Fest
Hosted by Vancouver Foodster and styled to run similarly to their ongoing Tasting Plates series of events, the Dumpling Fest features numerous participating restaurants offering up their signature dumpling. Go from spot to spot at the restaurants, all located between Olympic Village, Chinatown and Commercial Drive areas of East Van, and taste your way around the world of dumplings.

Meet and Eat with Mark Singson
Mark Singson, a ‘magician’ in the kitchen, who recently placed runner up on Top Chef Canada Season 6 pushes the boundaries with his cooking. Explore a 5-course meal where he takes familiar dishes, breaks them apart, and reintroduces them as something visually different with each bite hitting all of the nostalgic notes--and meet Singson.

"Soil to Soul" Chef Collaborative Dinner

Hawkers Market
Hawkers Market is hawking its return after a few years off. With sessions at 4 pm and 8 pm, the event once again aims to promote “independent chefs, breweries, distilleries, side hustles, pop ups and indie food producers in a format centred around a Hawker style eating and drinking experience where guests are able to choose from multiple tastings included in their wristband ticket.”

Vancouver Christmas Market
The 9th annual Vancouver Christmas Market will set up at Jack Poole Plaza and offer guests a festive, cheery escape into a Christmassy wonderland. You’ll be able to chow down on tons of goodies, including Glühwein (a hot-spiced mulled wine); German Bratwurst; Gulasch; Spätzle; Schnitzel; Strudels; Transylvanian Chimney Cakes; a selection of German beer; award-winning German style wine; vegan and vegetarian fare from the Organic Villa Vegan Haus; charcuterie from the Charcuterie Haus; sweet and savoury macarons prepared by Bon Macaron Patisserie; syrup-filled pancakes made by Mr. Hot Cakes; warm roasted chestnuts from JJ’s Fresh Roasted Chestnuts; and gluten free hard apple cider made by Howling Moon Craft Cider.

The Macallan x Mamie Taylor’s Dinner
Mamie Taylor’s will host a special, one-night collaboration with internationally renowned whiskey distiller The Macallan. Join The Macallan Canadian Brand Ambassador, Dan Volway, for an intimate, five-course dinner paired with five special expressions of The Macallan (as well as a parting surprise) in the private dining space of Mamie Taylor’s restaurant in Chinatown.
