If you were to create a Venn diagram where one circle was labeled "cheap" and the other labeled "awesome", the middle point where they cross over could be labeled "Vancouver on the Cheap". In other words, this is a weekly series on things to do and places to go in Vancouver that fall into that magical category of being both cheap and awesome. |
Blim is by far one of the most awesome things that exists in Vancouver. It's an independent, family-run arts and crafts facility and store. You can buy some pretty cool handmade goods there, as well as take classes in everything from screen printing to button making to life drawing. We are seriously lucky to have this business in our city, and here's where the cheap thing comes in: tomorrow night Blim is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a party!
Admission to the party is by donation (cheap!) and it features performers, DJs and artists, such as Chrissarriffic, Kellarissa Larissa Loyva, DJ Ultimate Lover, Jonathan and Sean Orr, and many others who have been a part of Blim’s community throughout its history. Since Blim is such a cool place to be, we know that their 10th anniversary party is also going to be a cool place to be, and because they are awesome, it will also be cheap!
