There were two very intimate shows in Vancouver this weekend with the talented artists James Lamb & David Newberry .

With 20,310 artists, boasting 89,679 tracks, the CBC Radio 3 web site is the absolute ultimate authority, and the home, of independent music in Canada.

During the holidays a filmmaker in Vancouver generously lent me his old video camera and so I put it to some good use.

The interweb has published yet another " Day in the Life" video featuring Vancouver's Jordan Hoffart ( click here for the last one). This time, it's the SoCal version and it was put together by Jordan's hat sponsor, NEFF .

...and all over Vancity, indie bands were playing, some sweet little dittys. If you missed ANY of these shows, you missed some very good music.

Tonight there is a group photography show at Anti Social that I am taking part in.

Even if you're not a 'gamer' I think you might be excited about attending this thing that The PuSh Festival is putting on and that we're co-sponsoring. Basically 200 people hang out at the Cultch and play an interactive video game together.

Nicole Phillips aka visualheart, is a Graphic Designer and artist, she spends most of her days at an agency in Yaletown. Outside of the 9-5, she freelances, crafts and writes her blog, visualheart.com.

Here's a clip of Vancouver artist, Ben Frey , painting a mural in the Spruce Gallery at the new Sitka store we told you about. It was for his show that was supposed to be taken down December 31st but is being held over a few weeks.
