The new Kensington skatepark (Knight and 37th) is looking good-to-go, and rumours have been swirling that it'll be open to skate this Sunday, July 4th... Skateboarding-wise, there's a lot going on this weekend in Vancouver.

Had a nice little outting with my pops on our annual Jazz Fest summer date. We got tickets to the Chick Corea show at the Centre later that night but first checked out the jazz fest scene at Gastown.

This rainy Canada Day, I'm warmed by the fresh memories of the block party we had last weekend. This was the seventh time we closed off either end of our block just west of Dunbar St.; it's one of my favourite events of the year.
