Aww Nooky Nooky

I think I read about Nook in the Westender 's year end poll or something. I think it was voted Best New Restaurant in their poll. One quote stood out in the interview with I believe must have been the manager or head chef .

I think I read about Nook in the Westender's year end poll or something. I think it was voted Best New Restaurant in their poll. One quote stood out in the interview with I believe must have been the manager or head chef . He said something to the effect of there being so many over-conceptualized eateries in Vancouver. Now, I have tried a lot of different restaurants of late and good food is good food but price, setting and service obviously make for lot of one's dining experience. I do appreciate the creative and hip eateries around town but I have found that the overall experiences of those kind of places can be hit and miss. Nook on the other hand is far from a dive but def not a poshy fine dining place either. Its a nice, small bar and restaurant that has a good look but it's still got that casual vibe too. Its' flooring is total NYC joint style. Perhaps it's the location (off Denman and Robson, across the street from Kintaro) but it also doesn't have that we only cater to a certain type of crowd feeling either and I dont know about you but I think that's pretty significant.

Oh and by the way, it's probably the best pizza joint in town too. And they have dope pasta. And its fairly priced.
